Join us on Friday, June 28 and Saturday, June 29 to watch the Non Pro and Open Derby finals. We’ll showcase the world’s best 4-, 5- and 6-year-old reining horses competing for their share of more than $600,000 in added money, plus awards and bragging rights.Ticket Prices:

NRHA Annual General Membership Meeting – Followed by Judges Monitor/Exhibitor Meeting and NRHA Professionals Meeting
Stop by the Sale Arena on Sunday, June 23 at 2 p.m. for NRHA’s Annual General Membership Meeting. Members are encouraged to attend to get updates on Association activities and discuss important issues. Following the Annual General Membership Meeting and the Judges monitor/exhibitor meeting there will be a NRHA Professionals meeting.
Ancillary Opportunities
Two full slates of ancillary classes are scheduled for the NRHA Derby Show. A Montana Silversmiths High Point Trophy Buckles will be awarded to the highest combined score from both slates to that particular class’ horse/rider combination. The trophy buckles for High Point Champion will be presented during the second slate’s award presentations.
• Ancillary entries are post entry and are due by 12 p.m. CST the day before the class runs.
• Day stalls are only $50/horse/day for ancillary horses only.
AQHA & APHA Classes
Two slates of AQHA and APHA classes will be offered again this year! AQHA classes include: Open, Amateur, Youth (13 & Under and 14 – 18). APHA competition includes: Open, Amateur, Regular Youth (13 & Under and 14 – 18) and Solid (Open, Amateur, Youth All Ages). Entries are post entry and are due by 12 p.m. the day before the class runs.
Green Reiner Classes
Green Reiner Level 1 and 2 classes give reiners with less than $100 in NRHA earnings an opportunity to compete against others at the same skill level. Remember – only a $20 NRHA Associate membership is required (competition licenses and non pro declarations are not required)! So don’t miss this beginning-level show opportunity at the world’s most recognized venue for the sport of Reining.
SmartPak™ Derby Happy Hour(s)
Everyone is invited to the SmartPak Derby Happy Hour(s) on Tuesday, June 25 at 5 p.m. in the Sale Arena! Pizza and beer will be provided while it lasts along with games for everyone to enjoy. Take a few moments to visit with NRHA Corporate Partner SmartPak and see what special surprise they have for you!
NRHyA Meeting
The youth meeting will be held Wednesday, June 26, at 3 p.m. in the Youth Room. Come in for tasty treats and hang out with your friends as we play games and listen to a motivational speaker. We’ll talk about leadership development and the opportunities you cannot afford to miss in the NRHyA. Every youth member is encouraged to attend, invite your friends!
NRHyA Anderson Bean Speaking Contest
The NRHyA Anderson Bean Speaking Contest will be immediately following the NRHyA meeting on Wednesday, June 26 in Conference Room B. Come watch NRHyA’s best and brightest compete and test their public-speaking skills! $3,000 in scholarships will be awarded! A pair of Anderson Bean Boots will be awarded to the Champion in each category, additional awards provided by KO Trading. KO Trading.
A Yabba Dabba Doo Good Time!
NRHyA and IEA members will be celebrating the NRHA Derby and IEA Western Finals in true Flintstone style. It is sure to be a good time. Join us at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26th at the Sale Arena for an awesome party, don’t forget to bring Pebbles, Bamm-Bamm, and Dino!
Platinum Performance Draw Parties
Owners and riders of both Open and Non Pro Derby finalists are invited to celebrate with their friends and family during the Platinum Performance Open and Non Pro Draw Parties. The Non Pro Draw Party is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26 in the Sale Arena. The Open Draw Announcement is scheduled for 12 p.m. on Friday, June 28 in the Sale Arena. Owners and riders will receive a Finalist Award from Platinum Performance. Open owners will receive a commemorative pin from NRHA. Thank you, Platinum Performance!The Open Derby Draw will take place at 9 a.m. on Friday, June 28 in Conference Room B. Attendance optional.
NRHA Awards Banquet and Hall of Fame Induction
Join us on Thursday, June 27 at 6 p.m. at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum to salute the 2012 NRHA World Champions. Prior to the banquet, the Reining Horse Sports Foundation will be hosting a reception in honor of the new Hall of Fame inductees and year end award winners at 5:45 p.m. Please be sure to make your reservations by June 21st!

Boots a little dirty from walking through the stalls? NRHA High School Reining Championship
Be sure to come out and support your youth riders in the NRHA High School Reining Championship following the at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28. Eight accomplished riders from the NRHyA and IEA will experience the ultimate catch ride on some of the finest horses at the NRHA Derby. The success of this competition depends on horses being donated for this class. Ten horses will be needed, one for each of the competitors plus two alternate horses. As a thank you for your donation, your horse’s stall fees will be refunded after the show. If you are interested in donating the use of your reining horse or know of someone who is, please contact Shianne Megel at smegel@nrha.com.
NRHA Collegiate Reining Championship
Be a part of the excitement as young riders experience the “Ultimate Catch Ride” at the NRHA Collegiate Reining Championship on Saturday, June 29. The success of this competition depends on horses being donated for this class. Fourteen horses will be needed, one for each of the 12 competitors plus two alternate horses. As a thank you for your donation, your horse’s stall fees will be refunded after the show. If you are interested in donating the use of your reining horse or know of someone who is, please contact Shianne Megel.
Youth Sailing Adventure
NRHyA Officers, Delegates and Affiliate Youth Officers will have the opportunity to sharpen their leadership skills and experience a sailing adventure on Monday, June 24th. Staff from the Oklahoma City YMCA will lead the group during their nautical adventure. This is a great team building activity that will be followed by a frost cool treat. Affiliate Summit
Do you want to learn more about what is available to you or your affiliate? Take part in the Affiliate Summit at the 2013 NRHA Derby that is scheduled on Tuesday, June 25th at 3:00 p.m. in Conference Room B. The purpose of the summit is to allow for discussion of Affiliate Conditions, the Affiliate Toolbox, the Outreach Model and incentive levels. Be sure to attend to get the latest important information for Affiliates.

Stop by the NRHA Derby Show Office to complete NRHA business transactions. Bring all of your paperwork for competition licenses, transfers, memberships, nominations or anything else and NRHA staff will be there to take care of you.
