The gates officially opened to competition inside the state-of-the-art OG&E Coliseum as the 2025 6666 NRHA Derby presented by Markel launched its first full day of Open Derby action. In a history-making moment, riders and reiners christened the new arena with slides, spins, and show-stopping performances that set the tone for an unforgettable week in Oklahoma City.
Level 4 Open Derby and American Paint Horse Association Chrome Cash Leaders: Kole Price and Golden Coins

Leading the pack on this monumental day was NRHA Million Dollar Rider Kole Price aboard Golden Coins, who laid down a powerful 229 to top the Level 4 Open Derby and secure the lead in the APHA Chrome Cash incentive. Their performance was a fitting tribute to the debut of a venue designed to celebrate the future of reining.

Coin Toss LLC’s Golden Coins is a 2020 stallion (Spooks Gotta Gun x Electric Cha Ching) bred and nominated by Silver Spurs Equine.
Level 3 Open Derby Leaders:
NRHA Million Muehlstaetter and Gunin Addy Tude held onto the top spot in the Level 3 Open Derby after the first section. The 7-year-old stallion, owned by Rancho Oso Rio, earned a 223 to take the lead. NRHA Corporate Partner Toyon Ranch bred and nominated the stallion by NRHA Hall of Famer Gunnatrashya and out of Miss Lil Addy Tude.
Level 2 Open Derby Leaders: Trent Harvey and Mskittys Painted Gun
With a 221.5, NRHA Professional Trent Harvey and Mskittys Painted Gun lead the Level 2 and Novice Horse Open derbies. Bred, owned and nominated by Last Stop Ranch LLC, Mskittys Painted Gun is a 2021 stallion by NRHA $3 Million Sire Colonels Shining Gun and out of Walla Girl Is A Whiz.
Level 1 Open Derby Leaders: Juan Robledo Coppiano and Alpha Sushi Chic
Although he has only been an NRHA member for two years, Juan Robledo Coppiano soared to the top of the Level 1 Open Derby on Alpha Sushi Chic. The 7-year-old mare is owned, bred and nominated by Alpha Quarter Horses LLC. The duo scored a 221, more than five points higher than the pair sitting in second place at the end of section one.
Prime Time Open Derby Co-Leaders: Duane Latimer and CS Especially Moody
An impressive 222 placed NRHA $2 Million Rider Duane Latimer and CS Especially Moody (Gunners Special Nite x Judys A Little Moody) in the co-leader position of the Prime Time Open Derby. NRHA $3 Million Owner Corinna Schumacher’s XCS Ranch LLC’s CS Especially Moody is a 2019 stallion bred and nominated by his owner.
Prime Time Open Derby Co-Leaders: Craig Schmersal and Enterprizingattitude
Co-leading the Prime Time Open Derby are Enterprizing Attitude (SG Frozen Enterprize x Face The Attitude) and NRHA $5 Million Rider Craig Schmersal. The 6-year-old gelding, bred and owned by Hickory Creek Ranch, was nominated by Ginger Schmersal.
Tamarack Ranch Open 4-Year-Old Stakes Leaders: Casey Deary and Alpha Viking
NRHA $5 Million Rider Casey Deary and Alpha Viking took the lead in the Tamrack Ranch Open 4-Year-Old Stakes. Deary and the stallion, bred and nominated by Alpha Quarter Horses LLC, scored a 225.5 to take the lead. By NRHA Hall of Famer Gunnatrashya and out of Rock It With Sass, the stallion is owned by Alpha Vargo Partners.
