The anticipation is building in Oklahoma City as the 6666 NRHA Derby presented by Markel—The World’s Hottest Reining—kicks off at the OKC Fairgrounds. The National Reining Horse Association proudly welcomes reiners from around the globe to one of the most prestigious and anticipated events of the year.

Beginning Friday, June 13, the 6666 NRHA Derby presented by Markel features the sport’s top 4- to 7-year-old horses competing for their share of more than $1 million in added money. Open and Non Pro riders will showcase their horsepower and horsemanship as they chase Derby titles in front of an enthusiastic crowd.

This year also marks an exciting milestone for NRHA as the Derby becomes the first event ever held inside the brand-new, state-of-the-art OG&E Coliseum. Designed with both competitors and fans in mind, this world-class venue sets the stage for an unforgettable reining experience.

While the competition unfolds in the OG&E Coliseum, the Adequan^® Arena will host a full slate of ancillary classes, including youth, green reiner, rookie, para reining, and more. From seasoned professionals to grassroots riders, every run will highlight the skill, style, and heart that define the sport.

Outside the arena, attendees can explore the vibrant trade show in the Bennett Event Center, featuring a variety of vendors offering Western fashion, tack, home décor, and equine products. It’s the perfect place to shop, connect, and immerse yourself in the reining lifestyle.
